The Last Nuclear Bomb Memoria, an international architectural competition, is now in its fifth year. Participants are tasked with designing a memorial on the site of a former nuclear training ground to serve as a reminder of the dangers of nuclear weapons.

purpose

The goal of the competition is to create a unique monument that symbolically conveys the horror and consequences of the use of nuclear weapons, while atthe same time being a place to reflect on the future of humanity and the dangers of their use.

terms and conditions

The competition is open to everyone, both professional and student participants. Participants may submit their works individually or in teams (maximum of 4 people). All submissions must be made in English, and projects are to be presented in the form of visuals only, without additional descriptions. Registration fees apply, depending on the date of entry.

  • 1st place: 5,000 euros
  • 2nd place: 3,000 euros
  • Third place: 1,000 euros
  • Buildner Student Award: 1,000 euros
  • Sustainability Award: 1,000 euros

jury

The composition of the jury will be announced at a later date, however, it traditionally includes recognized architects and industry specialists. The competition organizers attach great importance to making the jury as objective and professional as possible. All issues related to the competition will be communicated by the Buildner team.
