Results of the competition for the Best Interior Design Diplomas.

descriptionOn November 22, we learned the results of the "Biennial Young Interior Designers" competition for the Best Interior Design Diploma.
Seven Art Universities in Poland participated in the competition:
- Magdalena Abakanowicz University of Arts in Poznan, Faculty of Interior Design and Scenography
- Academy of Art in Szczecin, Faculty of Interior Design and Scenography, Interior Design Department
- Academy of Fine Arts in Gdansk, Faculty of Architecture, Faculty of Interior Design
- Jan Matejko Academy of Fine Arts in Kraków, Faculty of Interior Design
- Academy of Fine Arts in Warsaw, Faculty of Interior Design
- Eugeniusz Geppert Academy of Fine Arts in Wrocław, Faculty of Interior Design, Design and Scenography
- Academy of Fine Arts in Łódź, Faculty of Design, Department of Interior Design
The competition coordinators at each unit selected the two best diplomas in interior design. There were 14 diplomas in the finals.
The works were judged by a jury consisting of:
- Chairperson, Dean of WAWiS - Anna Regimowicz-Korytowska, PhD.
- Deputy Dean of WAWiS - Dr. Emilia Cieśla-Jarzębowska
- Representative of Grupa Mo company - Tomasz Desko
- Representative of Zajc kuchnie company - Justyna Zajc
- Representative of I-mar company - Konrad Młynarski
- Prof. Eugeniusz Matejko
The main prize of PLN 10,000 was won by Oliwia Kapadura from the University of Arts in Poznań (the work "Cracks (over)sea. Design of a service and exhibition pavilion as a voice on the lost identity of the city of Leba").
The second place and 5 thousand zlotys went to Izabela Milke from the Academy of Fine Arts in Warsaw (the work "Exhibition New Look, ceramics of the 1950s and 1960s. Design of a permanent exhibition in the building of the Center for Unique Ceramics in the Old Mine in Walbrzych"). The winner also received a special prize - an internship at the Brocki Studio design office.
Third place and 2 thousand zlotys was won by Natalia Stępień from the University of Arts in Poznań (the work "Past-Future. Educational Space in the Ruins of the Old Brickworks in Kalisz").
An honorable mention went to Patrycja Ilcewicz from the Academy of Art in Szczecin (work "TLOU - Elephant Aid Center. Design of empathetic architecture in a model environment in Botswana, Africa").
A&B honorable mention went to Adela Moss from the Academy of Fine Arts in Gdansk (work "Beyond comfort. Architecture of solace in space").
The secretary of the jury was the head of the Department of Interior Design - Dr. Michal Bartkowiak.
