Restaurant spaces or apartment interiors often delight not only with the colors chosen or the functional division of space, but also with the atmosphere. This special atmosphere is created by specially selected furniture, especially timeless furniture, which does not dominate the space, but complements it with its form and design. Such a piece of furniture is the LA BENDA armchair.
Portuguese designer Pedro Salgado combined the modern character of the furniture with a unique, 19th century technology of bending beech wood under pressure and steam. This procedure made it possible to create an armchair that charms with its delicate and extremely light form, while at the same time impressing with its durability.
The design element that distinguishes the LA BENDA armchair is the bar, which has been bent in several places. As a result, it is not only the structure of the front legs of the armchair, but also an element that reinforces the rear part of the backrest. The rear legs of the chair, on the other hand, are straight and firmly set into the ground.

Interestingly, the Portuguese designer's inspiration was silhouettes of people dancing with each other. Thus, the combination of delicate elements with those less finesse is a metaphor, intertwined in dance, of a woman and a man.
LA BENDA is a versatile piece of furniture, created with turn-of-the-century design in mind. The armchair is lightweight and therefore easy to move. At the same time, the back and lower structure have been reinforced so that the armchair is also characterized by its durability against mechanical damage.
