SelgasCano

SelgasCano is a Spanish architectural firm based in Madrid, founded in 1998 by José Selgas and Lucía Cano.

The studio focuses on the use of polychrome, innovative exploration of materials, and the creation of architecture that is strongly connected to the surrounding landscape.

Their body of work includes auditoriums and convention centers in Spain, as well as numerous office buildings such as Second Home in London, Lisbon and Los Angeles. Their projects also include a school in Kibera, Nairobi, a vaccination center in Turkana, Kenya, and various public pavilions, including the 15th Serpentine Pavilion in London (2015), relocated in 2019 to La Brea Tar Pits in Los Angeles.

SelgasCano's work has been exhibited in prestigious galleries around the world, including MoMA in New York, the Bruges Triennale, the Guggenheim Museum in New York, GA Gallery in Tokyo, MOT (Museum of Contemporary Art) in Tokyo, Design Museum in London, Akademie der Künste in Berlin, Tin Sheds Gallery in Sydney, MIT in Boston, the Venice Architecture Biennale and the Louisiana Museum in Copenhagen.
