MORE Architecture

MORE Architecture is a research and architecture studio based in Shanghai and Amsterdam, founded by Daan Roggeveen and Robert Chen.

Combining extensive urban research with master planning and urban design, MORE has developed a sensitive and human-centered approach to urban spaces. Drawing on experiences from both China and Europe, MORE proposes a model of urbanism that is a balanced blend of top-down and bottom-up planning.

MORE Architecture creates thoughtful and sustainable environments. This means striving for dynamic cities that are diverse, inclusive and accessible, with public spaces that foster encounters and build new communities.

MORE has completed a number of projects in the Shanghai area, including the Jiaxing Island mixed-use building, the MINTH Group headquarters, Shanghai's leading BANK art gallery and the Ginkgo Gallery art museum.

Projects under development include a boutique hotel in the mountains and a residential development in Anji. Construction of a residential project in downtown Rotterdam will begin in early 2022. MORE was also included in the prestigious AD100 ranking of the 100 most influential design companies in China.
