Max Dudler
The office was founded in 1992 in Altenrhein, Switzerland. Its founder, Max Dudler, studied architecture at the Städelschule in Frankfurt am Main and the Hochschule der Künste in Berlin. Today, the studio has branches in Berlin, Zurich, Frankfurt am Main and Munich.
Over more than three decades in business, the office has expanded its offerings beyond traditional architectural tasks. Over the years, the studio's conceptual way of working has found its way into urban planning projects, transportation construction, transformations, historic preservation, exhibitions and furniture design.
The office has won numerous awards, including the DAM Preis für Architektur in Deutschland 2012 for its work on Hambacher Schloss and the Nike for Best Urban Interpretation in 2010 for the Jacob-und-Wilhelm-Grimm-Zentrum project. These awards testify to the office's ongoing commitment to architecture. In 2004, Max Dudler was appointed as a professor at the Academy of Fine Arts in Düsseldorf.
