The owners of historic properties have a duty of care and concern to preserve the building in the best possible condition, as well as form, as close to the original as possible. However, legal protection of historic buildings does not mean that there is no chance to introduce thermal comfort to the premises in the form of an air conditioning and ventilation system. In the frequent cases when the guidelines of historic preservationists do not allow the installation of a condensing unit on the facade or roof of a historic building, the solution is the RVF V-STAGE Rotenso System.
Possibilities of installing RVF V-STAGE condensing unit inside the building
The principle of operation, designed for monuments or buildings in compact buildings, the Rotenso RVF V-STAGE condensing unit is the same as the classic solution with an external condensing unit, with the difference, however, that the V-STAGE unit itself is factory-adapted for installation, so that it can be placed inside the building, for example. in a technical room, archive room, basement or attic. V-Stage technology is therefore a solution for buildings where, due to their historic nature or compactness, it is not allowed to mount the equipment on the façade.

Design of RVF V-Stage
The fresh air needed to carry out the thermodynamic transformation has to be led to and from the device to the outside. This is made possible by the special design of a centrifugal radial fan with a high compression of as much as 90 Pa, which allows the air to be transported over a long distance, even up to 15 m when using straight ducts. For the supply and discharge to the outside of the air exchange channels only small openings in the facade, or roof, which remain without affecting the aesthetics of the building and can be easily covered with a special grille or incorporated into a window frame or unused chimney.

The ability to completely build the unit inside the building, connect up to 13 air conditioners and have the system work with air handling units, with a cooling or heating section, is the ideal solution for heritage buildings or buildings with difficult locations.
Efficient technology
Compressors with built-in crankcase heaters, used in RVF V-STAGE systems, additionally allow air conditioning to effectively perform the function of heating the premises even at an outdoor temperature of -15°C. The RVF V-STAGE system is a two-pipe system. The installation of the system is based on carrying out the installation with refrigerant using only two pipes separated by RVF system tees. This results in savings in space, material and time required to run the installation.
