New addresses
An active city, involving residents, where we find a mix of well-functioning functions, creates a modern and friendly space. It's a place to meet, work and live. In this issue we look at the high-profile transformations and revitalizations of urban areas in recent years, how new addresses are emerging on the maps of our cities. Their success and popularity is determined by the people who like and want to spend time there. Sometimes it doesn't take much to attract them, because out of spontaneous and bottom-up processes various activities arise that create the eponymous new addresses.
The Factory Full of Life, the Powiśle Power Plant, the Żnin Sugar Factory or the Warsaw Breweries are large city-forming investments, designed to re- + vita (from Latin) bring isolated areas of the city back to life. We are looking at them from a certain temporal distance, as it is difficult to assess the effectiveness of revitalization processes a few weeks after the ribbon cutting.
Have they been successful - judge it with us!
