- A2P2 edits
This is an issue in the "edits the studio" series, this time A2P2 from Gdansk, Poland, that is Monika Arczynska and Lukasz Pancewicz with collaborators. A2P2 is another studio that came up with the topics for this issue from start to finish, designed the cover, told the story, and suggested the shape and content for the moodboard.
A2P2 is a studio with an unusual practice. They don't build houses, they don't realize architecture, they don't compete in architectural competitions. They deal with the pre-design stage. Which is what? They talk about it in detail in this issue. They work on mock-ups, their working tool is not Revit, for example, but participation, mapping, briefing and recognizing the needs of both the potential user and the investor. They don't select typical industry professionals, but curators, sociologists, lawyers, psychologists, designers or other specialized actors and experts of urban space, who study it through their discipline. They then organize the information, compile it and send it to the investor. Thanks to their work, the investor has the needs and possibilities of the future investment recognized and defined, and the architect has a clearly laid out functional-utility program. But that's it in a nutshell. For details, please continue to the next pages of this issue of A&B.
A2P2 - thank you!
Working with you has been a great adventure!
