In the April 2015 survey "Ytong: home and family 1995-2015," conducted by TNS on behalf of the Ytong brand, 63 percent of respondents felt that home is primarily associated with the categories of family and intimacy (56 percent). However, these categories are in constant transformation. The concept of family is also changing - it's no longer necessarily the until recently traditional 2 plus 2. Childless relationships, partnerships, senior networking arrangements, single parents with children, homosexual families, patchwork families or single life require different spaces for living. Agata Twardoch, in an article on microdomes, points out that with the changes in the configuration of homeowners, a change and a kind of reflexivity in approaching the economic and social conditions that have arisen is required. The micro-home building movement has been gaining quite a few supporters recently, including in Poland. The list of reasons is probably long, but the most important seem to be the phenomena associated with the changing notion of home and domesticity and... ordinary economics. Aleksandr Baranovsky, in an article on ArchTołoka, describes in turn the involvement of Ukrainian architects and sociologists in helping to build economical and accessible homes for families coming from war-affected areas. This model of creating a home addresses the most current and important needs of future residents. A home is a person's most personalized and intimate space. It is more than an architectural structure or a formal-functional architect's response to the user's needs.

Domek.pl is once again featured as a topic in the pages of A&B. In addition to the aforementioned journalism, we present an overview of what has been recently built in Poland in "single-family" housing. We invite you to read it!
