New generation of VELUX windows for flat roof.
From the series "Windows, doors, hardware, guards - trends 2022"
VELUX is expanding its range of windows for flat roofs and launching a new generation of products - a flat glass module that won a Red Dot award and a spherical glass module. These are the perfect solutions for residential buildings, providing maximum daylight, an excellent view of the outdoors and a modern design.

VELUX's new portfolio in the flat roof window category makes it possible to offer solutions for every type of project: unglazed skylight for unoccupied and unheated rooms, as well as windows for residential homes: traditional domes and a flat or spherical glass module for lovers of modern design.
One of the biggest advantages of the new flat roof windows is the ability to bring up to 52% more daylight into the interior, compared to the previous generation of products. This has been achieved through the use of a unique design - a slender frame, an extremely narrow sash and tempered glass from the very edges. The flat glass module perfectly harmonizes with the roofline. Its elegant and minimalist design was awarded the Red Dot prize in the "Product Design" category.

The spherical glass module is made with a unique curved glass technology, which allows rainwater to drain easily from the surface. The unique design makes the spherical module window ideal for flat green roofs.

The new generation of flat roof windows, equipped with 2 or 3-pane packages, provide excellent thermal insulation and lower energy consumption. The spherical glass module with a
3-pane package is characterized by an exceptionally low U-value of 0.55 W/m²K. High energy efficiency is also guaranteed by the unique ThermoTechnology™construction with integrated highly insulating EPS material. Very good sound insulation - up to 42 dB - makes it possible to reduce external noise, including rain and hail.
The new windows are available in non-opening, electric-opening, and soon solar-opening variants. For even greater comfort indoors, they can be combined with a blackout blind to regulate light, a sun awning to reduce heat, or a mosquito net to keep out insects. The blind and awning are discreetly placed between the glazing package and the exterior element, so that - when rolled up - they do not obscure the view, so the maximum amount of daylight enters the room.

The new generation of flat roof windows can be installed in roofs with pitches from 0° to 15°. With pre-drilled holes and a convenient handling system, their installation process is quick and easy. They are available in 7 sizes from 60×60 cm to 120×120 cm, and later this year the range will be supplemented with larger sizes: 150×100 cm, 150×150 cm and 200×100 cm.
With the expansion of its portfolio, VELUX can now offer solutions for any type of project with a flat roof: a skylight for unoccupied and unheated spaces such as warehouses, garages, sheds or industrial buildings. The product requires no maintenance, gently diffuses daylight, and provides privacy and optimal working conditions.
