Stable support of any investment
and an interesting landscape element
Are you looking for a solution to protect your space from landslides or the collapse of the building? Apply retaining walls from the company
Rekers Polska Sp. z o.o. Spółka Komandytowa. They are resistant to high pressures and terrain loads, and provide a stable base for utility structures. L-type prefabricated retaining walls (retaining walls) are not only a way to protect a variety of building structures, they are also an aesthetically pleasing development of green areas. Prefabricated "concrete elks" are high availability, functionality and quick installation, as well as a favorable price.

REKERS L-type retaining walls - technical parameters
L and T shapes
Retaining wallsare produced in two basic shapes - type L and type T. The most popular are the "concrete elks", which are the basis of the REKERS product range. L-type (reinforced) retaining walls offered by REKERS range from 55 to 405 cm in height and in two width options: 49 cm and 99 cm. The minimum thickness of the wall is 12 cm (top edge) 15 cm, or 25 cm (bottom edge of the wall). A handrail with a maximum height of 110 cm and post spacing of 100 cm can be installed on standard REKERS prefabricated elements.
5 load classes
REKERS retaining walls are manufactured in 5 load classes. Their application depends on the destination, the type of soil on which they are founded and the traffic volume or load on the ground. L-type retaining walls with a load class designation of 1-2 will work well as roadway supports for 5 kN/m² traffic and retaining support for terrain sloping up to 20 degrees. Load class 3 indicates that prefabricated retaining walls can be used to support and reinforce areas with a slope of up to 30 degrees. L-type retaining walls in load classes 4 and 4a will maintain surfaces loaded with 16.7 kN/m² of vehicular traffic, which translates to the standard observed on public roads with local traffic. Load classes 5 and 5a are for structures that support traffic of 33.3 kN/m², the standard of a national road with heavy traffic. REKERS retaining walls in load class 6 and 7, on the other hand, support the maintenance of earth with traffic of 5 kN/m² and 33.3 kN/m², respectively, with a different arrangement of prefabricated elements than the standard - with the inner face side.
Special elements
In addition to L-type retaining walls, the company offers special elements, such as: external and internal corners with a height of up to 405 cm for angles of 90° or 135°, as well as L-type retaining walls diagonal, walls with openings, or with non-standard dimensions (at the request of the customer - individual adjustment of the dimensions of all elements to the needs of the project).

Safe, functional, economical - standards and declarations of use
REKERS retaining walls comply with the European performance standard EN 15258 "Precast concrete products. Retaining wall elements", which corresponds to the Polish equivalent of PN-EN 15258. The mass-produced L-type retaining walls in the standard variant are created from concrete with a compressive strength class of C35/45. This concrete corresponds to the requirements of the environmental exposure classes XC4, XD2, XA1, XF4. This material is characterized by high corrosion resistance, resistance to chlorides from seawater and fairly strong action of ground water, is resistant to de-icing substances and minor chemical aggression.
Principles of proper foundation of retaining walls
Obtaining the full functionality of L-type retaining walls depends on their proper foundation, that is, making in advance the appropriate geotechnical measurements, tests of water and soil conditions of the area. The soil in which REKERS retaining walls are installed must be properly compacted. Above the substructure, adapted to the soil conditions of the site, it is necessary to place a filter layer with drainage, as well as a layer of concrete and a leveling layer. In such prepared soil and on the basis of the engineering design, the individual REKERS retaining walls should be set up.

Prefabricated L-type retaining walls - applications
The advantages of prefabricated retaining walls, such as their high load-bearing capacity, concrete build-up and convenience of transportation, storage and installation, make them used in many fields. In linear and volume construction, they are a reliable way of leveling land slopes, supporting slopes and embankments, compensating for differences in land elevation, and wall bases. REKERS retaining wall structures save time and labor on construction sites, while reducing invasive work that permanently alters the natural landscape. It is common to use L-type retaining walls to support road and bridge structures. Not only as fencing and support elements for loose terrain, but also as road ramps, parking space structures, plazas, transit tracks, and protection for bridges or tunnels. In industry or agriculture, REKERS retaining walls will also prove useful as storage spaces for loose substances, fencing off special spaces, supporting structures built on unstable ground - in mountains, valleys, slopes.
Increasingly, retaining walls are also used by individual customers in the design of houses, as well as in the gardening industry and by designers of urban spaces as elements of small architecture. They can be used to make fences, reinforcements for backyard parking, garden walls, seats, stairs. They also have a decorative function in urban gardens, parks, green belts. REKERS prefabricated retaining walls protect utility facilities such as schools, playgrounds, housing estates, shopping centers. They are used in the construction of embankments, in difficult terrain, wherever the investor cares about providing solid and safe support.
