PIR panels - insulation with SOPREMA system solutions
PIR boards (a variation of polyurethane) are a type of insulation that offers many advantages over other traditional insulation materials. In addition, it saves 80 times more energy over its lifetime than was used to make it. Insulation with their use can be used in a wide range and in various situations - it is used not only in residential, but also in industrial construction.
Characteristics of PIR panels from SOPREMA:
- much better insulating parameters than polystyrene or mineral wool, very low value of heat conduction coefficient, of the order of 0.022 W/m*K,
- significant weight reduction compared to mineral wool,
- high compressive strength
- resistance to moisture and the formation of mold and mildew, which significantly weaken the thermal insulation values of materials,
- environmentally friendly,
- easy to handle and transport,
- require about half the thickness of traditional forms of insulation to achieve the same level of thermal performance.
