High-quality universal and renovation plasters
From the series "Paints, Chemicals, Insulation - Innovations 2020"

Restoring and protecting architectural monuments is the highest discipline of building protection. Remmers offers a wide range of products for this purpose, as well as detailed analyses of the building's condition, and special solutions for long-term building protection.

Universal TCW Levell - a new quality of cement-lime plaster

Remmers is launching a lightweight plaster based on traditional binders, cement and lime, with perlite, a lightweight filler obtained from volcanic rock.

Remmers TCW Levell can be used as a final treatment for walls or as a substrate for other finishes, both indoors and on facades. It is used on unsalted masonry, on the facades of historic and new buildings, as well as in all types of interiors. It is a very good primer for ceramic cladding, decorative plasters, plaster and paint. TCW Levell can be used in old and new construction, on brick and stone walls, walls of modern buildings made of ceramic and silicate blocks, cellular concrete blocks and concrete substrates. Plastering work can be carried out by both manual and mechanical methods.

The TCW Levell formulation improves and facilitates the mechanical application and processing of the plaster, and significantly improves the final result of the plastering work. The lightweight plaster recipe allows one layer of plaster to be applied in thicknesses of up to 25 mm, with consumption of only 10 kg of the mixture per cm of plaster thickness. This effect was achieved by using perlite as a filler.

Expanded per lite is roasted volcanic lava. The thermal conductivity coefficient that perlite has is 0.040-0.059 W/(mK). It is a lightweight and durable material, resistant to moisture and frost. It is characterized by high fire resistance, class A1, and sound absorption. In addition, it is not threatened by microorganisms, fungi and algae. For this reason, it is increasingly being added to building products. The granularity of the fillers with a grain size of up to 1 mm used in the production of the plaster is in line with the tendencies of the construction market aimed at fine-grained plasters, which can be painted after appropriate rubbing.

Key features of Remmers TCW Levell plaster:

- water resistance
- frost resistance
- flexibility
- high efficiency
- fine-grained

TCW Levell can be used on all kinds of masonry and concrete substrates. It does not matter whether the masonry is new or undergoing renovation. It can be applied, either as a single or two-layer primer plaster for smoothing or finished smooth under paint coatings or ceramic tiles. In rooms with requirements for sanitary resistance to microorganisms, it can be used, for example, as a resistant primer for low-emission interior paint containing microsilver to protect the coating from fungal attack.

The use of TCW Levell universal lightweight plaster brings tangible benefits to contractors through:

- possibility of manual and mechanical application with plastering units
- reduction of labor costs
- high efficiency
- high quality of the plaster coat.

RemmersSP Top White - a technologically advanced renovation plaster

An excellent example of Remmers' technological developments are renovation plasters. They are applied to walls that are damp and saline. Salt compounds are contained in ground water, rainwater and also in all building materials. Salts in a dry state are not very harmful, but when they dissolve they move toward the surface, where water evaporates and salts crystallize. Increasing in volume, they mechanically destroy bricks, stones, plaster and paint coatings on facades, interiors and basements of old and historic buildings. The task of renovation plaster systems is to store the salts in the base plaster for a long time and to ensure the durability of the surface plaster.

Remmers renovation plaster systems meet the criteria specified in WTA Merkblatt 2-9-05/D. They have been used for decades in the renovation and maintenance of old buildings, and as of now have received many innovative modifications that improve their quality and processing. All Remmers renovation plasters in 2020 have been significantly improved in terms of performance and appearance. Thanks to the innovative technology of reactive fillers, the tried and tested Remmers WTA renovation plasters have gained a new, quality.

Remmers SP Top White is the best-known renovation plaster produced by Remmers. It can be applied in a single coat, as a primer and top plaster, because the risk of cracking has been reduced. The intense white color, which is one of the changes made, now allows it to be used as a finishing coat. Remmers SP Top White has high sulfate resistance and low effective alkali content, as well as high salt storage capacity.
