Innovative roof panels from Paroc.
From the series "Roofs, roof accessories - trends 2023".
Roofs are zones of great responsibility. To provide a durable and safe substrate while maintaining the thermal performance of the envelope, PAROC engineers have developed a new generation of stone wool slabs with unprecedented properties on the market: PAROC PREMO 90.
In the case of flat roofs, designers and building contractors often face a challenge: how to meet the thermal insulation requirements for the structure and achieve a durable, fire-safe substrate prepared for various mechanical loads, preferably without adding too many centimeters in the thermal insulation layer?
In this context, the market has for years provided a proven solution: rigid stone wool boards. However, as a rule, the better the mechanical performance, the worse the thermal conductivity coefficient λ.... PAROC PREMO 90 slab puts an end to such compromises.

Unrivaled mechanical and thermal performance
PAROC PREMO 90 is a completely new standard in flat roof insulation. The solution, which is used as a top layer of insulation, is designed for different types of loads and areas with moderate to heavy pedestrian or vehicular traffic.
The main distinguishing feature of the solution is its very high resistance to both compressive stress (90 kPa at 10% deformation) and point loads (up to 900 N) during installation and use. These parameters, which are unattainable for other mineral wool solutions, allow the slab to be used without problems in areas exposed to special static and dynamic loads, without worrying about deformation of the thermal insulation slabs or damage to the covering layer.
Moreover, the use of PAROC PREMO 90 slab in a two- or three-layer flat roof insulation system practically eliminates the risk of thermal bridges and enables a partition with very good mechanical, thermal and fire performance. In addition to its high strength, the product features a low thermal conductivity coefficient of λ = 0.039 W/mK, as well as the highest fire reaction class A1.

Example applications
Due to its parameters, PAROC PREMO 90 panels fit perfectly into the trend of utility roofs, which are increasingly being used in office, commercial and residential buildings. Located on the roof, heavy air handling units, photovoltaic installations, storage tanks, parking areas or helicopter landing pads do not pose a challenge in terms of appropriate mechanical performance of the structure.
Examples of insulation systems using PAROC roof panels include:
- PAROCPREMO 90 + PAROC ROS 40: roofs of heavily loaded and intensively used industrial buildings
- PAROC PREMO 90 + PAROC ROS30: office buildings, public buildings
- PAROCROS 60 + PAROC ROS 30: logistics centers
Regardless of the application or project characteristics, PAROC PREMO 90 panels provide a durable, hard, energy-efficient and fire-resistant substrate for flat roofs of any application.
