Innovative thermal insulating agents

KOFARB has presented an innovative approach to a number of construction problems. Using its knowledge of solid-state physics and materials based on NASA technology used in space shuttle thermal barriers, KOFARB has developed a thermal insulation material in the form of paint and thermoreflective compound.

Application

Kofarb's main product is Kofaterm compounds. These are ecological products that save a lot of energy and significantly affect environmental protection. A product with these parameters does not find competition in the market, which is why we call it an innovation, thanks to which it won a gold medal at the 2019 International Building Fair. Thermal insulation mass replaces almost all traditional methods of insulating buildings, pipelines, halls or swimming pools.

With Kofaterm White or Kofaterm Gray mass, we can replace Styrofoam, wool, XPS and foam in attics. In addition, these products are used in the oil industry (insulation of pipelines, tanks), animal husbandry, food industry, steel structures, transportation and insulation of buildings from the outside and inside.

Main advantages

KOFATERM masses and paints are environmentally friendly products.
They significantly reduce heat transfer through building partitions: the coating reflects and scatters up to 90% of the infrared radiation falling on the building partition from both outside and inside the building (a layer of 1 mm replaces about 7 cm of Styrofoam).
The mass saves up to 40% of energy.
It is hydrophobic, preventing condensation.
It is vapor-permeable (the wall "breathes").
When applied to roofs, so-called cold roofs are obtained (they do not heat up).
It eliminates thermal bridges.
Prevents the formation of mold, algae and fungi.
Insulates acoustically, especially on roofs, eliminating rainfall noises
It is flexible and water-based.
It is non-flammable (non-flammability class A2, such as glass wool).
Ease of application allows covering any, even very complex shapes (e.g., architectural monuments).
The simple method of application compared to traditional methods of insulating buildings reduces the time of investment by about 3 times and reduces the cost of implementation by 3-4 times.

Innovative technology in construction

In cooperation with Prof. Zielinski of the Poznan University of Technology, the most modern and technologically advanced building was developed without a doubt. In order to achieve excellent insulation parameters and excellent living conditions, both in summer and winter, this innovative product was combined with recuperation, the use of heat pumps and photovoltaics. In the future, we also want to use additional technology to modernize existing buildings and create new ones that will be fully self-sufficient and even generate profits. According to the technological solutions adopted in the building, it will be possible to virtually eliminate heating from external sources (coal, gas). As a result, the installations used will not generate pollution released into the atmosphere.

They are characterized by longevity and durability for work in harsh conditions. Thanks to the highest quality components, their coatings provide an excellent corrosion barrier for machinery, steel halls, construction or chemical and mining industries.

KOFAKOR ANTIRUST 2-in-1 primer-emulsion is a unique paint containing both primer and varnish. It is resistant to unfavorable environmental and operating conditions such as: seawater, petroleum-based pollutants, temperature variation, vibration and mechanical impact, and changing weather conditions. Its main advantage is that it retains the corrosion process and is resistant to C4+ conditions. It provides protection for up to 8 years.

KOFATERMAL, on the other hand, is a varnish that can withstand temperatures up to 400°C and is extremely resistant to mechanical impact in contact with metal.

KOFAHEAT is a heat-resistant product to temperatures as high as 1,600°C. It prevents overheating of, for example, steel structures during a fire. Currently there is no product with such parameters on the European market.

KOFAKRYL KOMPOZYT is a very effective paint for protecting concrete from corrosion and erosion. Thanks to it, the service life of parking lots, bridges and other concrete cubes will be significantly extended.
