Powder coatings in architecture.

Products for architecture are three classes of resistance (Qualicoat, GSB, AAMA) with design warranties of up to 30 years (this applies to the range of color change delta E and gloss - within the set parameters). All architectural paints are EPD certified and climate certified (to facilitate scoring in LEED, BREEAM, etc.).

Architecture and small architecture

Responsible architecture takes a conscious approach to design, reduces the negative impact of buildings on the environment by using the right materials and optimizing energy consumption (heating, air-conditioning, operation), aims to reduce energy consumption and increase quality of life, and uses specially designed materials that provide building interiors with the desired temperature and greater comfort. Powder coatings play an important role in sustainable architecture and designbecause they can be used to coat basically most metal components of buildings: blinds, shutters, shades, aluminum frames, woodwork, facades, panels - virtually any metal can be powder coated.

Our paints have all required certifications (ISO, EPD, supporting LEED and BREEAM accreditation), and meet architectural requirements (Qualicoat, BS, GSB, AAMA).

These paints are ideal for use in the design of small architecture around buildings, as well as for the furnishings of office buildings themselves (handrails, railings, elevators, furniture, fences, furnishings for offices, bathrooms, living areas, lamps and lighting systems, household appliances).

In addition to their protective and aesthetic functions, the paints are also functionally designed: they can reduce temperature by reflecting infrared (UHI leveling), prevent the proliferation of microbes (silver ions), electrically insulate (Resicoat), facilitate maintenance (EasyClean AntiGraffiti), prevent surface scratching(X-PRO), increase light reflectionin lighting (Reflex).

Paints are available in a variety of gloss levels (stable DeadMatt, matte, satin sheen), finish variants(special effects, rough sandblasting, velvet, smooth, fine and coarse textures, anodes, metallics with varying degrees of "sparkle").

Furniture and household appliances

The same collections and technologies we mentioned above can be used to coat furniture, nevertheless the offer for indoor elements (furnishings, lighting) is definitely wider, due to the fact that polyesters can be used here, but also blends (having, for example, better resistance to cleaning agents).

The choice of collections is huge - we have about 16,000 different finishes, and there is also the possibility to prepare powder paint according to the specifications of designers and architects. An AkzoNobel DesignApp application has been designed for your use - allowing you to search for products by technology, application, certification or, of course, color. Technical information about the products is also available through the app. Pattern books, sample panels or catalogs with paint collections are available on request.

The 2018-2021 Futura Collection combines the latest design trends with superior protection to create an exceptional range of special powder coatings. The collection meets Qualicoat, GSB, AAMA and BS requirements.

D2000 Flex - color collection with Class 2 resistance (Qualicoat 2/ AAMA 2604), while maintaining Class 1 flexibility (easier bending, no cracking, patented AkzoNobel technology)
