Lighting: is it possible to save energy and money at the same time?

18 of June '24

From the series "Green Solutions - Trends 2024"

The climate and energy crisis, the social turn towards ecology, the search for savings in the age of inflation... The whole world is now looking for energy-saving and environmentally beneficial solutions. Lighting is one of the important points of this topic: good light is essential for proper human functioning and productive work, but does it have to come at the expense of the environment? Are there sustainable yet quality lighting solutions? Experts from TRILUX Poland argue that this is now a reality.

TRILUX offers pioneering solutions in the field of sustainability. LED luminaires and TRILUX 's LiveLink lighting management system form the basis for solutions with high light quality, exemplary energy balance and long service life. Protecting the climate and natural resources are very important elements of TRILUX's mission. Importantly, the company constantly and consistently seeks opportunities for optimization at all levels to minimize its carbon footprint.

Replacing conventional lights with LEDs can save up to 85% of electricity, TRILUX specialists say.

Changing to LED lighting is an investment in the future, and it's the future of not only our planet, but also our wallet. Upgrading the lighting of our production hall in the city of Arnsberg allows us to save 15,000 euros a year. It's also a significant reduction in electricity consumption, and thus the carbon footprint of our factory

- Dr. Pawel Morawski of TRILUX is convinced.

One of TRILUX 's most impressive realizations confirming these words is the Krakow office building V. OFFICES - the second sustainable building in the world according to BREEAM certification - with an outstanding rating and a score of 98.97%.

For such ambitious projects, we rely on maximum optimization. In lighting, this means using the most energy-efficient luminaires, and turning them on only when necessary. That's why the control of indoor lighting is based on DALI modules combined with motion sensors. Outdoor lighting, on the other hand, is based on daylight sensors, which keep light pollution to a minimum

- Dr. Pawel Morawski adds.

TRILUX
is proving that sustainable solutions and energy efficiency are today no longer a distant goal, but an everyday reality. Poland, like the entire CEE region, is a developing market for LED solutions - we have a lot of work ahead of us, but also many opportunities. The climate and energy crisis mean that more and more changes and improvements are ahead of us, as well as opportunities to develop sustainable solutions.
