According to the general guidelines of the Construction Law, building structures must be arranged, arranged and adapted for use in such a way that the effects of water, moisture and other final or biological factors do not lead to hazards or unacceptable hindrances.
Depending on the use of the premises, water and moisture loads are distinguished from low to extremely high. These guidelines also apply accordingly to the planning and installation of drywall structures in the area of walls and ceilings in wet and damp rooms. This includes hospitals, care facilities, schools, swimming pools, wellness facilities, restaurants, large kitchens and industrial areas with special or increased requirements.
Such an assessment of use is carried out by the designer, and in the subsequent stages of the process is critical to the selection of appropriate materials and construction. In doing so, additional factors such as the occurrence of corrosion and chemical exposure must be taken into account.
RIGIPS, as an innovative supplier of drywall systems, has developed suitable boards and tailored accessories for every load in wet and humid areas. RIGIPS boards and all other components are perfectly matched to each other and can meet all the requirements for such rooms. Profiles, masses, accessories and finishing materials are dedicated to RIGIPS boards so that any room, regardless of the water and moisture load, can be comprehensively completed using the RIGIPS drywall system.

For increased requirements of moisture and water resistance in moderate and high load zones, gypsum board technology with hydrophobic glass mat combined with GlasrocX Ocean is recommended.
material and technology
The board is reinforced on both sides with an innovative hydrophobic glass fiber mat, finished with a UV-resistant coating, providing excellent performance in high humidity conditions. The board is not coated with cardboard and does not contain cellulose, so it has a high natural resistance to mold growth and is ideal for wet and damp applications. The hydrophobic mat provides protection against mold - even in swimming pools - without the need for an additional layer of waterproofing. The high structural strength allows the construction of walls with a single slab.

advantages and competitiveness
- No need for sub-tile waterproofing
- Durable and resistant to mold
- Efficient and safe
- Non-flammable (building material class A1)
- Excellent primer for plaster and paint
- Very simple and fast installation
- Easy to transport
The surface of the fiberglass mat with clear branding for easy product identification is distinguished by its high resistance to mold and water penetration. The gypsum core reinforced with glass fibers guarantees resistance to moisture and mold and very low water absorption.

protective coating - ZM310
A unique metallic coating that represents a breakthrough in corrosion protection. It is the best material for numerous applications. The unique chemical composition of ZM310 coating provides an unprecedented level of surface and cutting edge protection, even in extremely hostile environments. ZM310 coating is applied on a typical continuous flame coating line, but the bath contains an admixture of 3.5% aluminum and 3% magnesium. The ZM310 coating has a naturally dark gray color. The material is protected with environmentally friendly E-passivation®. ZM310's compact coating, which prevents the underlying steel layer from coming into contact with the environment, acts as a barrier to prevent corrosion. The result is highly effective corrosion protection, even in the most demanding environments.
