From the series "Heat pumps - Daikin technologies and solutions 2023"
In what direction will heating technologies develop in the near and somewhat distant future? Which types of heating will be particularly developed?
Can such installations be controlled remotely? How does it work? What benefits does it bring? What application does it work with?
Currently and in the near future, heating technologies will develop in the direction of heat pumps. Air-to-water heat pumps will receive special attention, due to their lower investment costs compared to ground source heat pumps. The latter require a bottom source of heat in the form of boreholes, which entails additional costs. In general, heat pumps require only an electrical supply. It is a maintenance-free and trouble-free technology. They operate automatically, without our interference, besides they do not require having a chimney or gas connection, do not require fuel storage and continuous supply of solid fuel to the boiler.

Depending on the house you have (new house or renovation of an existing one) and the type of heating system (underfloor heating, radiators or fan coils), there are many air-to-water heat pumps to choose from in Daikin's range. However, the premise of "heating of the future" is definitely fulfilled by the Daikin Altherma 3 H HT high-temperature heat pump (EPRA models). It is a device with a modern design that meets the expectations of even the most demanding investors. In addition, it can work both with an underfloor heating system on a low water temperature parameter and with radiators, due to the possibility of preparing water with a maximum temperature of 70°C. In addition to heating, the device can also realize cooling of rooms, if we have appropriate receivers, such as fan coil units.

What's more, the Daikin Altherma 3 H HT is characterized by very quiet operation of the outdoor unit, even at up to 35 dBA, which will not be a nuisance to us or the neighbors. The unit can be remotely controlled via a special Daikin Onecta cell phone app, which allows you to, for example, change the water temperature set point, turn on/off heating or cooling, change the hot water temperature set point, turn on/off hot water heating mode, set operating schedules, or check approximate energy consumption, etc.

We encourage you to download the Daikin Onecta app to your phone and test its capabilities. Even without owning any Daikin equipment, it is possible to turn on "demonstration mode" and see for yourself how it works (when turning on the app, select "more options" and go to demonstration mode).
