MEATEC system channels - fast and effective drainage of pavement and drying of facades
MEATEC is a modern pavement drainage system on ceilings designed for installation on terraces, roof gardens or balconies. Thoughtful design allowed the manufacturer - the company MEA Polska Sp. z o.o. - to ensure high efficiency of water transport and additional functionality - protection of facades from dampness. Not to be overlooked is the fact that the system has been developed within the framework of the idea of "barrier-free construction", allowing people with physical disabilities much easier access to the terrace, balcony or loggia.
How to quickly dry a terrace?
With the increasing use of roof surfaces for utility purposes, the need for rapid drainage of water from their surfaces arose. Permeable surfaces began to be used; decking boards and stone slabs on racks or a gravel base. When using a gravel layer, it became necessary to quickly bring the water to its collection points, i.e. drains. This is precisely the task performed by the MEATEC channel placed on the waterproofing layer. By providing free space in the pavement structure, rainwater has a free and fast path to the gully.

Another advantage of the system is the moisture protection of the facade. Once the channel is placed along the facade, it becomes possible to quickly collect water flowing down from the wall. An additional benefit is that it allows air to flow onto the facade, ventilating it and drying it properly, preventing the growth of mold and microflora.

Easy exit to the terrace - MEATEC "without barriers"
For the elderly and those with limited mobility, crossing the threshold at the entrance to the terrace was a difficult or even impossible matter. Using the different inner widths of the MEATEC system channels, we can reduce the height difference between the outer and inner surfaces by up to 1 cm. This opens up access to the terrace, balcony or loggia for everyone. Importantly - the MEATEC design gives you the ability to adjust the height of the channel, even after installation.

Advantages and design of the MEATEC system
The MEATEC system is elegant, reliable and weatherproof. It is currently produced in two material versions, hot-dip galvanized steel or stainless steel. There is a wide spectrum of cover grates to choose from, starting with classic lattice grates through decorative grating designs, and ending with custom-made grates with, for example, the logo of the facility. The design of the channel itself ensures, thanks to the fixed struts, that the shape remains stable even after the grate is removed. MEATEC system ducts are manufactured as standard in lengths of 2 m, 1 m, 0.5 m, and additionally I can shorten them without loss of utility value. They have system connections that guarantee the correct laying of the channels.
