Laws
- The Construction Law (Article 5.1.1.d.). "The obligation to ensure, among other things, the safety of use and accessibility of facilities."
- Building Law (Article 62(1)). "The obligation of the owner or manager to subject the facilities to periodic inspection at least once every 5 years."

It is worth remembering that "Whoever fails to fulfill, as specified in Article 61, the obligation to maintain a construction object in proper technical condition, uses the object in a manner inconsistent with the regulations, or fails to ensure the safety of use of the construction object, shall be subject to a fine of not less than 100 daily rates, penalty of restriction of liberty or imprisonment of up to one year." Construction Law (Art. 91a.4).
The mentioned data clearly show how important slip resistance is for the protection of workers. Those who have noticed the importance of this problem face the choice of measures and tools to help them ensure a safe working environment.

The first step is professional measurement of slip resistance
A method of verifying the slip resistance of a floor is to test the slip resistance. This test is performed using an instrument called an English pendulum, hence the test is referred to as PTV (Pendulum Test Value) for short. The test method is described in detail in PN-EN 13036-4:2011.
- We always perform the measurements in accordance with the guidelines in the standard and with the sliders (footers) dedicated to these measurements, on dry and wet.
- After each test, we will prepare a report on the skid resistance of the substrate.
A reliable test is the basis for recognizing the compliance of the parameters of the tested substrate with the guidelines developed by the Building Research Institute in Warsaw in 2018 and the Ministry of Investment and Development in 2020.
